The brand-new face of Barcelona

Barcelona’s hammering Real Madrid 4-0 was much more than just a league win, not just because it’s El Clasico. The way that the Catalan club defeat their rival may have marked a milestone of the brand-new face.

It was pure chaos at the start of the season: Lionel Messi’s departure, the giant debt, the sack of Ronald Koeman. Everything was set for the downfall of Barca in this season. However, with Xavi’s arrival, the reinforcement with new signings, was slow, but gets better day by day.

Several players have been playing significantly well in the evening of the match. But it’s the process that the squad achieved after a long time of training, getting themselves together. El Clasico was all but the best stage possible to get the ripe fruits.

Key Updates from FC Barcelona Players

Ronald Araujo and Ousmane Dembele were perfect examples. The Uruguayan defender has been good for most of the time of this season. Though questioned by his ability with his feet, Araujo was extremely good in El Clasico.

Putting Araujo at right-back was pretty much gambling for Barca’s manager, Xavi. But the Spanish coach won the bet, and boy, he won it big.

The 24-year-old defender nullified Vinicius Jr on the left flank, and even better, he scored the second goal. This kind of performance will only boost Araujo’s confidence, as he will grow more and more after the victory.

In the case of Dembele, Xavi was one of the very few men in Barca entrusted him. 2 months missing due to injury, many weeks on the verge of leaving Barca, but in the messy, the French winger surprisingly rose.

Two assists in the El Clasico setting up the first two goals made Dembele the best creators of Barca right now. In overall, former-Dortmund star has only been better and better since Xavi’s appointment, and the toughest fans of Barca now had to applause for his performance.

New signing this season of Barca, Eric Garcia, also had a great game. It was Garcia that provided safety in front of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, with and without the ball. Cules could see a leader in the back four in Garcia, as their legend Carles Puyol did in the past.

No need to talk much about Frenkie de Jong, as the Dutch man has always been one of the best of Barca in the past 2 seasons. Like De Jong’s comrade at midfield, Pedri. The La Masia’s golden boy shows that he never stopped to amaze and mesmerize.

The handling of number 10 in Spain National Team just now, is the best gift for the youngster.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang was too good, not only in the Clasico, but for the past 7 games ahead of which. The double, the assist, the Dragon Ball Z celebration? That’s very entertaining and satisfying for a guy who Barca paid zero transfer fee in the last window.

Barca seemingly has it all for a fresh start, a new face, new spirit, and future is bright.
