It’s been circulating for a while now since Brazil have always considered the Italian manager their top priority target.

For now, Ancelotti will respect his contract with the La Liga giants and continue his work until the contract expires in June 2024.

Tite was the latest Selecao manager, who stepped down as coach of Brazil after the team’s quarter-final ouster at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Ramon Menzes has been Brazil’s interim coach.

A significant change with the Selecao

Per Marca, the CBF has agreed with Fernando Diniz, the current coach of Fluminense, to become interim coach of the Brazilian national team until Carlo Ancelotti finishes his contract with Los Blancos.

This is the information reported by TV Globo, which cites sources from Brazil’s leading football body.

The contract will be for six months or one year, depending on the final date of the Italian coach’s arrival, and could be officially announced as early as this week.

The main question is who will be responsible for selecting the players for the 2024 Copa America, which takes place in June of that year when the gaffer is expected to arrive. The tournament starts on the 20th of that month, while the Italian’s contract with Real Madrid runs until the 30th.
