Sevilla has its eyes on Fofana
The Andalusian giants are in dire need of a new striker in the summer and were close to securing a loan move for Fofana last January.
However, the Ivory Coast international ended up at Premier League side Burnley on loan due to FIFA regulations.
Sevilla’s ace striker Youssef En-Nesyri will reportedly leave Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, as his contract expires in 2025.
Nesyri proved to be a bright spot for the Andalusian club, scoring 10 goals in 25 league games.
Sevilla continues to struggle this 2023-24 season, finding themselves in 14th place in LaLiga.
Should the move come to fruition, the 21-year-old Fofana should emerge as Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan’s ace striker.
What’s next for Fofana?
The young striker spent the first half of the season on loan at Union Berlin but struggled to show his true form.
Fofana was eventually recalled by Chelsea and subsequently loaned out to Burnley in January.
So far, Fofana has been impressive for Burnley, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
