The Los Rojiblancos are looking at former Valencia central defender Gabriel Paulista to add for the summer. The Brazilian footballer’s contract with Atletico only runs until the end of this summer.
Paulista played well in Atletico’s last match against Real Betis.

Atletico Sporting Director Andrea Berta cited the need to add another central defender for the next transfer window even if the club re-signs Paulista.

The new player Berta is looking for could be Robin Le Normand. The Real Sociedad center-back’s contract will run until 2026.
Le Normand, however, is reportedly valued at €40 million, which might be too high for the Los Rojiblancos.
Atletico might work out another deal that could include left-back Javi Galan. Galan is currently on loan to Real from Atletico.
Atletico lost seven of its last eight matches to drop to fourth place in the La Liga table at 55 points.
