Yesterday, La Liga announced that there would be a new limit for Xavi’s squad cost for the first division.

Blaugaranas will now see their limits reduce from €270 million to €204 million, making it extremely difficult to compete with other league giants and European opponents.

What is the cause of Barcelona’s financial issue

According to the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barca have generated more expenses than the income they brought since September 2023.

One operation that can significantly improve the club’s matters in this regard would be to obtain the outstanding amounts for the sale of Barca Studios. The Catalans still have to receive €40 million to catch up with La Liga’s calculation of the salary limit for Barcelona.
