Kylian Mbappe to sign with Real Madrid after PSG contract expires

The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is officially over.

The French superstar will leave Paris Saint-German to sign with Real Madrid this summer.

According to ESPN, Mbappe has not informed his home club about his decision.

However, the 25-year-old will make an official announcement next week.

Mbappe has five months remaining on his contract with PSG.

ESPN reported that his intentions to represent France in the 2024 Summer Olympics on home soil will play a crucial part in contract negotiations with Real Madrid.

The forward joined PSG on loan from AS Monaco in 2017 and has since established himself as one of the biggest soccer stars today.

He has scored 241 goals in 288 appearances for PSG across all competitions.

Overall, Mbappe has won five Ligue 1 titles and four Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards.

The star forward has also won the Young Player Award at the 2018 World Cup, and both the Golden Boot and Silver Ball at the 2022 World Cup.

Speaking of the World Cup, Mbappe led France to the 2018 FIFA World Cup title and a runner-up finish in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
