Granada CF Summary

Founded in 1931 as Club Recreativo Granada, Granada CF (full name Granada Club de Fútbol, SAD) are one of the youngest clubs at La Liga. They have been in the top flight for 26 seasons, with their highest finish being sixth.

Granada finish second at the Copa del Rey back in 1959, when the tournament was still called Copa del Generalísimo, losing to Barcelona, 1-4. They qualified for the UEFA Europa League in the 2020-21 season, their first time ever in the continental tournament, where they reached the quarterfinals.

The Nazaríes made their La Liga debut in the 1941-42 season. They have had their ups and downs all throughout their history, with their best stint an eight-season run on top of the pyramid from 1968-76. They have fared relatively well since 2011, staying at the Primera División in nine of the last 11 seasons.
