The club made the announcement on their wbesite on Monday.
Valencia’s board of directors said that Kiat will be replacing outgoing president Chan Lay Hoon on March 4.
“I am delighted to pass the baton to Mr Kiat Lim, the son of our majority shareholder,” Chan said in a statement.
“This appointment is a clear affirmation of our continued commitment to the club and its future. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our fans and everyone close to the club for their support during my time in this role.”
Fans outrage
Valencia fans have been protesting Lim’s management of the club for years.
Lim bought Valencia in 2014, but supporters have criticized his hands-off approach, calling him an absentee owner.
In October, thousands of Valencia fans held a rally before their team’s 3-2 loss to Las Palmas, urging the Singaporean businessman to step down.
Valencia sit 18th in LaLiga after a 3-3 draw with Osasuna on Sunday, level on points with 17th-placed Las Palmas.
