Real Madrid announced Arda Guler as Los Blancos have officially sealed the signing of 18-year-old Turkish international talent from Fenerbahce.

La Liga rivals Barcelona were leading in the race to acquire the service of Guler. Still, Los Blancos successfully hijacked the deal, although the Catalan’s side sporting director Deco had presented in Istanbul to negotiate a transfer.
Guler is a gem for Real Madrid
Guler has been a part of Fenerbahce since 2019 and established himself as a regular, attracting attention across Europe with his impressive performances.
The teenager featured in a total of 35 matches. He was on the pitch for just over 1500 minutes and contributed towards 13 goals. Guler found the back of the net on six occasions and had seven assists to his name.
How much for Guler’s signing
Los Blancos will pay a transfer fee of €20 million to Fenerbahce. The final fee is just above his €17.5 million release clause. The contract has a €10 million performance-based bonus and a 20% sell-on clause.
As per reports, Guler had a conversation with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos; his conversation with the Madrid duo was crucial for the transfer.
Madrid have been scouting the teenager since the 2021-22 season, and their chief scout Juni Calafat has played a key role in securing the teenage sensations’ services. Guler will pen down a six-year deal with Los Blancos and be presented to the club on Friday.
With Guler and record-signing Jude Bellingham added to the mix, Real Madrid have already prepared a solid base for life after Kroos and Modric.
