Barca is confident of signing Guler
Barca is optimistic about securing Fenerbache’s gem Guler, rated among the best performers in the top five European leagues last season.
Representatives of the club led by Joan Laporta have traveled to Istanbul in the last few hours to try to close the deal for Guler, with Deco in charge of convincing the player. The Catalan side’s president also revealed that it’s only a matter of time before they can secure Guler’s signature.
However, now that Los Blancos have entered the race, things are getting more complicated.
Real Madrid look to hijack Barca
There are feelings that the 18-year-old playmaker is still waiting for other offers, as he has yet to have the final word for Barca.
The Madrid club is rumored to have gotten closer to Guler; some Istanbul outlets even claim that Guler has already decided and will travel to Madrid to undergo a medical.
Both sides are pushing hard to sign the 18-year-old attacker, and the next few hours could be decisive in the future of the player, whose buy-out clause is 18 million euros.
The race for him is red hot, and even though it looks like Blaugrana are still in the lead, nothing can be taken for granted till pen is put to paper.
Guler is among the top five talents of European
Madrid can take advantage of that their La Liga rivals Barcelona can only push for a deal to have Guler join in 2024 due to their economic problems.
The problem with Madrid is that they already signed Jude Bellingham, who was only 19 years old, and now have a star-studded midfield with Brahim Diaz, Bellingham, and Fede Valverde,…
For this reason, one of the options that the club is considering is to close the signing of Guler and look for a loan in a good European club so that he can complete his development process before making the definitive leap to Real Madrid’s first team.
