Barcelona sporting director confirms interest in Canadian left-back
Canadian international Alphonso Davies is the latest target of FC Barcelona for the summer, according to a club official.
The 23-year-old left-back, also a target of Real Madrid, had his agent and representatives talking to Barcelona sporting director Deco. Davies is expected to part ways with Bundesliga club Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

The 6-foot footballer collected nine goals and 28 assists in 180 appearances for Bayern Munich, which he joined in January 2019.
Davies started his promising football career in Canada, where he and his family moved from a Ghanaian refugee camp. His parents fled Libya during the Second Civil War before moving to Canada.

Aside from the Catalan Club and Real Madrid, Davies is also a target of several European clubs like Liverpool.
Deco’s interest with Davies comes with a purpose since Barcelona will likely lose Marcos Alonso to free agency this summer.
However, Davies’ asking price may be too much for the Catalan club. The Ghanaian-born footballer is looking at €12 million a year in salary.
