Bellingham is the new King of El Clasico

Bellingham, only 20, netted a dramatic stoppage-time winner in the 91st minute to give Madrid a 3-2 victory over their long-time rival Barca.

After a back-and-fourth affair between two giant Spanish clubs, the young midfielder completed Madrid’s comeback with a “fundamental” goal.

It was a much-needed goal for Bellingham, whose last LaLiga goal came against Girona on February 10.

“He arrived at the right moment,” said Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

“He made a big effort, working hard, he scored with his last bit of energy. It had been a while that he hadn’t scored. He scored the goal and let’s hope it’s fundamental in winning the league.”

With the win, the LaLiga league leaders widened its gap against Barcelona with 11 points.

Belingham loves to play against Barca

Bellingham showed off in his first El Clasico showdown in October, scoring a brace to secure a 2-1 win at the Olympic Stadium.

He also assisted Vinicius Junior’s goal in the Spanish Super Cup final, in Saudi Arabia.

The England international made history by becoming the third Real Madrid player to score in two El Clasico fixtures in the same season.

Bellingham joins the elite company of Ruud van Nistelrooy (2007) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2009).

It’s safe to say that Bellingham is now the new ‘King of El Clasico’, and he is just getting started!
