Mbappe’s saga
PSG gave Kylian Mbappe an ultimatum: trigger his one-year contract extension by the end of July or be sold this summer. (L’Equipe).
“We can’t let the best player in the world leave for free; he said he would never leave for free,” the PSG president has said in the latest interview.
The French forward was expected to renew his contract, as he had sent a letter to the club two weeks ago in which he made his willingness to commit clear.
PSG, however, maintains its position, which is: either a contract renewal or a sale. What remains to be seen now is what strategy the club would follow if this drags on throughout the season.
Their star player remains firm in his idea of fulfilling his contract, but it will be interesting to see how new head coach Luis Enrique will manage it.
