Modric plans to stay at Real Madrid

According to Diario AS, the Croatian wants to continue wearing the Los Blancos kit for another year.

In fact, Modric is ready to sign a contract extension with the club.

Modric, 38, remains in contract until the end of the season.

The veteran midfielder only saw limited minutes at the beginning of the season under manager Carlo Ancelotti

However, Modric played 90 minutes on Sunday as Madrid snagged a 3-2 victory in El Clasico over Barcelona.

This isn’t the first time Modric received offers from Saudi Pro League.

Modric turned down one of the highest salary offers in football history from a Saudi Pro League club last summer.

Real Madrid standout

Modric joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012.

The playmaker established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world.

This season, Modric has two goals and six assists across all competitions.

His veteran leadership has become crucial in the developments of club’s midfielders like Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Jude Bellingham.
