Who Is the Latest LaLiga Player of the Month?

Raphinha won the LaLiga EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for August 2026. LaLiga announced the result on September 11, 2026.

The Barcelona winger opened the league season with an exceptional August. According to LaLiga, he scored twice and assisted once against Elche, scored against Athletic Club, and added two more goals against Rayo Vallecano.

What Does POTM Mean in LaLiga?

POTM means Player of the Month. The award recognises a player whose performances stand out across a month of LaLiga competition. The current official name is the LaLiga EA SPORTS Player of the Month.

How Is the LaLiga Player of the Month Chosen?

LaLiga publishes a shortlist of standout candidates before confirming the monthly winner. The award process includes an official voting stage promoted through LaLiga channels. Because the shortlist and voting window can change by month, we verify each entry before updating this tracker.

Other LaLiga Monthly Awards

Player of the Month is one of several recurring LaLiga honours. Separate awards include U-23 Player of the Month, Goal of the Month, Save of the Month and Coach of the Month.

For August 2026, LaLiga separately named Javi Hernández as U-23 Player of the Month, Kang-In Lee for Goal of the Month, Unai Simón for Save of the Month and Quique Sánchez Flores as Coach of the Month.
