Who Is the Latest LaLiga Player of the Month?

Raphinha won the LaLiga EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September 2026. LaLiga announced the result on October 2, 2026, giving the Barcelona captain his second straight monthly award after also winning in August.

During September, Raphinha scored seven goals and added two assists across four league matchdays. His month included goals against Valencia plus consecutive hat-tricks against Racing Santander and Sevilla. He finished ahead of Kylian Mbappé, Jonathan David, Sergio Camello and Fer Niño in the final vote. September 2026 LaLiga POTM Finalists

LaLiga announced the September shortlist on September 23, 2026 and confirmed Raphinha as the winner on October 2. The other finalists were Sergio Camello (Rayo Vallecano), Jonathan David (Atlético de Madrid), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) and Fer Niño (Elche CF).

What Does POTM Mean in LaLiga?

POTM means Player of the Month. The award recognises a player whose performances stand out across a month of LaLiga competition. The current official name is the LaLiga EA SPORTS Player of the Month.

How Is the LaLiga Player of the Month Chosen?

LaLiga publishes a shortlist of standout candidates before confirming the monthly winner. The award process includes an official voting stage promoted through LaLiga channels. Because the shortlist and voting window can change by month, we verify each entry before updating this tracker.

Other LaLiga Monthly Awards

Player of the Month is one of several recurring LaLiga honours. Separate awards include U-23 Player of the Month, Goal of the Month, Save of the Month and the monthly coach/manager award.

For September 2026, LaLiga separately named Hansi Flick as Manager of the Month, Yassir Zabiri as U-23 Player of the Month, João Cancelo for Goal of the Month and Álvaro Valles for Save of the Month.

For August 2026, LaLiga separately named Javi Hernández as U-23 Player of the Month, Kang-In Lee for Goal of the Month, Unai Simón for Save of the Month and Quique Sánchez Flores as Coach of the Month.
